Miss Czech Texas Slovak Queen, 2014

 

The Czech Heritage Society of Texas is pleased to announce Christiana Gentry as our 2014 Miss Texas Czech-Slovak Queen. Crowned at our 12th Annual Spring CHS Czech-Slovak Queen Pageant held in Flatonia, Texas on Saturday, April 26th, 2014, sponsored by the Fayette County Czech Heritage Society. The competition consisted of personal interviews with three judges, an onstage interview of questions related to their heritage and experience, and a talent competition. Miss Gentry wore an 1830's authentic Chodsko wedding kroj. She sang Hallelujah in Czech.

Texas Little Czech Sister is Miss Saylor Robinson, daughter of Travis and Sarah Robinson, of Kingwood, Texas. Miss Gentry is the daughter of Creg and Cindy Gentry of Humble, Texas.

                 

1st Runner-up is Ashley Becan, Lavaca CHS Queen, daughter of Allen and Arlene Becan of Hallettsville, Texas. Her Little Czech Sister is Miss Alaina Halata, daughter of David and Christian Halata of Hallettsville, Texas.

Miss Gentry  competed in the 2014 - 2015 Miss Czech Slovak US Pageant, August 2-3, 2014, in Wilber, Nebraska. She was awarded 1st Place in Talent and  is now the 1st Runner Up Miss Czech Slovak US 2014-2015  in addition to her Texas title as CHS Miss Texas Czech - Slovak Queen 2014.

Congratulations to  all these young ladies for being a shining example of Texas Czech heritage.

    

The winner was Miss Missouri Morgan McMichen. Our beautiful amazing Christiana Gentry was awarded 1st Place in Talent and she is now the 1st Runner Up Miss Czech Slovak US, Elena Peerson Miss Illinois 2nd Runner Up.
